Booking, payment & cancellation
What is a private chauffeur service, and how is it different from a taxi?
A private chauffeur is booked in advance for a specific journey, with a fixed price agreed before you travel, a premium cabin prepared for you, and service planned around your arrival rather than hailed on demand.
Is this an instant booking, or a quote request?
A quote request. You send the journey details, get a fixed price back, and the trip is confirmed once you accept it.
Is the price agreed before I travel?
Yes, always. You get a fixed price back, usually within the hour, before anything is confirmed.
Can I book corporate or regular travel?
Yes. Client collections, roadshows, and multi-stop days are handled on one booking, with an account and monthly invoicing available for regular use.
Do you travel outside Dublin?
Yes, nationwide by request. Longer runs to the west, the south, and across the border are priced as a full day.
Airport transfers
Do you collect from Dublin Airport?
Yes. Both terminals, plus private aviation. Your pickup time and meeting point are agreed with you when you request the quote.
Where will my driver meet me?
The meeting point is agreed with you before you travel and is set out in your written quote.
What about departures?
Departure transfers are timed to your check-in time, with the usual allowance for Dublin Airport's security queues built into the pickup time agreed with you.
How many passengers and how much luggage fit in the car?
Up to 3 passengers and 3 cases, 2 of them cabin size, in the BMW 7 Series. For a bigger group, a Mercedes V-Class can be requested instead, for up to 6 passengers — arranged in advance through the usual quote process.
How and when do I pay?
Card, cash, or invoice, agreed at the time of booking. Nothing is taken when you ask for a price — the trip is only confirmed once you accept the quote.
Can I change or cancel after the trip is confirmed?
Send the change to Kev as early as you can and it is handled directly. A fixed cancellation and waiting-time policy has not been published yet, so it is agreed with you when you book rather than estimated here — the policies page states which terms are settled and which are not.
How do I request an airport transfer?
Send your flight number, date, time, pickup or drop-off address, and passenger and luggage count via WhatsApp, the web form, or phone. A fixed price is returned, usually within the hour, and the trip is confirmed once you accept it.
What is a Dublin Airport chauffeur service?
It is a pre-arranged airport car and driver rather than an on-demand taxi: luggage help is included, the pickup time and meeting point are agreed with you, and the price is agreed in writing before the journey is confirmed.
How much does a Dublin Airport chauffeur cost?
The price depends on the pickup or destination, date, time, passenger and luggage requirements, and any waiting or onward travel needed. No rate is invented on the site; send the flight and route details for a fixed written quote before travel.
Dublin chauffeur service
Can I book the car by the hour?
Yes — hourly hire is available, most often used for corporate travel such as client collections, roadshows, and site visits, alongside full-day bookings.
Can I book multiple stops in one day?
Yes. A multi-stop day — a client visit, then a roadshow venue, then back to the office, or a morning of meetings across the centre, Sandyford, and Ballsbridge — is handled as one booking rather than a series of separate rides, with the car waiting between stops.
What vehicle options are available?
Up to 3 passengers and 3 cases, 2 of them cabin size, in the BMW 7 Series. A Mercedes S-Class or E-Class can be requested for a second executive car, or a Mercedes V-Class for a bigger group, up to 6 passengers — arranged in advance through the usual quote process, not presented as an instant-dispatch fleet.
How much notice do you need?
There is no fixed minimum, but this is a quote request rather than instant or no-notice dispatch — send the date and journey details as early as you can, and a written reply follows, usually within the hour.
How do I book a chauffeur in Dublin?
Send the pickup address, destination, date, time, passenger count, luggage details, and any flight number through the quote form, WhatsApp, email, or phone. A fixed written price comes back, usually within the hour, and the journey is confirmed only after you accept it.
How much does a private chauffeur in Dublin cost?
No single public rate applies to every journey. The price depends on the route, timing, passenger and luggage requirements, waiting time, and vehicle requested. Send the details and a fixed written quote is returned before anything is confirmed.
Corporate travel
Can I plan a full executive day around one booking?
Yes. Corporate bookings run as hourly hire or full-day bookings, so a day of meetings, collections, and a roadshow venue can be planned as one booking rather than several separate rides.
Is pricing confirmed before the day?
Yes, always. A fixed price is returned, usually within the hour, and the trip is confirmed once you accept it — nothing is booked before that step.
Can regular corporate travel be arranged?
Yes. Regular corporate travel can be arranged with account billing, monthly invoicing, agreed pickup routines, and a consistent chauffeur standard.
Can we set up an account or monthly invoicing?
Yes, for businesses that book regularly. Account billing and monthly invoicing are agreed directly with the operator.
Do you travel outside Dublin for corporate trips?
Yes. Dublin city and county are the primary base, with nationwide travel by request.
City-to-city transfers
How far will you drive for a transfer?
Nationwide by request. Kildare and Wicklow are regular local routes; further out — commonly the west, south, and border counties — a transfer is quoted with the same full-day structure used for private touring.
Can we make stops along the route?
Yes. Note any planned stops in your enquiry and they're built into the route rather than treated as a separate booking.
Can a city-to-city transfer start or end at the airport?
Yes. An airport collection or drop-off can bookend a long-distance transfer, with the pickup time and meeting point agreed before you travel, the same as a standalone airport transfer.
Is this priced per mile, or as a fixed fare?
Neither — it's quoted as a full day with the same private-travel structure as a touring day, rather than by distance.
Is the car booked for the full route?
Yes. Long-distance transfers are planned as full-day chauffeur bookings, so the route, stops, timing, and fixed price are agreed before you travel.
How do I request a route quote?
Send the route, timing, passenger and luggage count, flight number if relevant, and any planned stops via WhatsApp, the web form, or phone. A fixed price is returned, usually within the hour, and the trip is confirmed once you accept it.
The cars
Which car will actually turn up?
The BMW 7 Series is the usual executive saloon for VIP Chauffeur Dublin unless a Mercedes partner vehicle has been requested and confirmed in advance.
Are the Mercedes cars part of the same fleet as the BMW 7 Series?
The Mercedes E-Class, Mercedes S-Class, and Mercedes V-Class are sourced through a partner network for the specific booking. The BMW 7 Series is the existing First Class image. Each option is quoted and confirmed before travel, so the client knows exactly what has been arranged.
How much fits in each car?
The Executive Mercedes E-Class is suited to 2 passengers with 2 check-in cases and 2 carry-ons. First Class is suited to 2 passengers with 2 check-in cases and 1 carry-on. The Business Van extends to 6 passengers and 6 cases, plus golf bags.
Can I book two cars for the same event, like a wedding?
Yes. The BMW 7 Series and a Mercedes partner vehicle can run alongside each other on the same booking — send both passenger counts with your enquiry and both cars are arranged and quoted together.
How do I choose a vehicle?
Select Executive, First Class, or Business Van when you request a quote. The selected vehicle is sent with your journey details so the right option can be checked and confirmed before travel.
Luxury tours
Can I set my own itinerary?
Yes. You give the rough shape — the places that matter and the pace you want — and the day is built around that rather than sold as a fixed route.
How is timing decided?
Start times are agreed as part of the itinerary, and the car is yours for the day, so a stop worth an extra hour simply gets one. On multi-day trips, start times and hotels are agreed as part of the plan rather than fixed months in advance.
Can stops be added or changed once the trip has started?
Yes. On multi-day trips, each day's stops are typically agreed the evening before, so the plan can flex around weather, opening hours, and how much time you want at any one stop.
How long can a tour run?
A single full day, or several days back to back. Multi-day trips are priced as full days rather than by distance, and runs to the west, the south, and across the border are priced the same way.
What is not included?
Entry tickets, tours, guides, and meals stay yours to book. Up to 3 passengers and 3 cases fit in the BMW 7 Series; for a bigger group, a Mercedes V-Class can be requested instead, for up to 6 passengers — a partner-network vehicle, sourced and confirmed the same way as the BMW 7 Series.
Private tours
Can I set the itinerary myself?
Yes. Send the places that matter, the pace you prefer, and the dates. The route is shaped around those details rather than a fixed coach schedule.
How are private tours priced?
Full-day and multi-day touring is quoted as a private chauffeur booking, with the route, timing, vehicle, and waiting time agreed before anything is confirmed.
Can a tour start or finish at Dublin Airport?
Yes. Airport pickup and return can be included at either end, with flight timing and luggage requirements confirmed as part of the itinerary.
Private day tours
How far from Dublin can a day tour go?
Nationwide by request, though a single day realistically means Wicklow, the Boyne Valley, Kilkenny, or a longer push to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren when the timing allows it. Anything further sits more comfortably as an overnight — see multi-day tours.
How many stops can we fit in?
There is no fixed number. You tell us the places that matter and the day gets built to fit them, whether that means lingering properly at two stops or moving through several in an afternoon.
How long does a day tour run?
The car and driver are booked for the whole day rather than a set number of hours — from an agreed start time until you are finished, with waiting at every stop included in the price rather than charged separately.
Can the plan change once the day has started?
Yes. The itinerary is agreed before you travel and stays adjustable on the day, so weather, opening hours, or wanting longer somewhere do not derail it.
Multi-day tours
Who books the hotels?
Hotels get folded into the itinerary planning itself, agreed alongside each day’s start time rather than sorted separately. Send the shape of the trip, and the hotel-booking details can be confirmed for your dates as part of the plan.
Does the trip start and end at an airport?
Often, yes. A multi-day tour can start with a Dublin Airport collection, or another point you choose, and end with a final airport run once the itinerary is complete.
How much luggage fits for a multi-day trip?
Up to 3 passengers and 3 cases, 2 of them cabin size, in the BMW 7 Series across the trip. For more luggage or a bigger group, a Mercedes V-Class can be requested instead, for up to 6 passengers and 6 cases — arranged in advance through the usual quote process.
How is the pace decided from day to day?
Each day’s stops are typically agreed the evening before, so the plan can flex around weather, opening hours, and how long you want at any one stop, rather than being fixed the moment the trip is booked.
How is a multi-day trip priced?
As full days rather than a per-kilometre fare, agreed before you travel. The trip is quoted as one continuous chauffeur arrangement, so there is no second quote partway through.
Shore excursions
How is timing handled around the ship?
Built around your ship’s stated departure, with buffer time agreed in advance so you are back with room to spare. No fixed number of hours is quoted in general — the plan is sized to the times you actually give us.
Which ports do you cover?
Dublin only. This is not offered from other Irish ports.
What about lunch or adding a stop along the way?
Lunch and any entry tickets stay yours to book. Stops can be added, swapped, or dropped on request, kept within whatever time you have ashore.
Is this a confirmed, ready-to-book service?
It is offered by enquiry rather than as an instant booking. Send your ship’s times and what you would like to see, and a quote comes back to confirm before anything is booked — the same process as any other private tour here.
How many passengers fit?
Up to 3 passengers and 3 cases in the BMW 7 Series. For a bigger group, a Mercedes V-Class can be requested instead, for up to 6 passengers — a partner-network vehicle, sourced and confirmed the same way as the BMW 7 Series.
Golf tours
Which golf courses do you cover?
Nationwide, by request — there is no fixed list of courses to choose from. Send the courses and dates you have in mind, and the trip is built around them.
How many players and how much gear actually fit in the car?
The BMW 7 Series seats three, with the boot shared between golf clubs and other luggage — how much of each fits depends on your player, club, and luggage count, so it is confirmed against your enquiry rather than guessed in advance. Four to six golfers, or a group whose clubs and bags will not fit alongside three passengers, can request a Mercedes V-Class instead through the partner network.
Do you collect from the airport?
Yes — a golf trip can start and end with an airport collection, with course-to-course transfers, hotel runs, and the return journey planned as one itinerary.
Does the car wait at the course, or do we call it back?
The car stays with the group. Waiting through a round, and through any delay a round runs into, is included rather than charged as extra time.
Who books tee times, green fees, and hotels?
Tee times, green fees, caddies, and accommodation stay yours to book. Once they are arranged, the transfers between them — course to course, course to hotel, and the airport runs at either end — are what this covers.
How far ahead should a golf trip be planned?
There is no fixed minimum, but because the whole trip is planned as one joined-up itinerary, sending the players, courses, and rough dates as early as you have them gives the most room to plan around. A fixed price comes back once the shape of the trip is agreed.
